Experience Central Coast Tourism

Tourism on the Central Coast is quickly becoming a buzz word! When travelling on one of Australia’s busiest highways, travelers are finding that there is a hidden gem just an hour north of Sydney that is worth a detour! The Central Coast stretches from Patonga all the way to The Entrance and consists of some of Australia’s nicest beaches, bush walks and scenic drives. Its its well worth a look if you’re considering the trip along the east coast of Australia.central coast tourism

Any trip along the Central Coast should include the old hotel at Patonga and maybe even a nights stay at the caravan park there. Just north of Patonga is the secluded gem Pearl Beach, home to many a famous artist and a few celebrities to boot. A little cafe there is definitely a good hang out after an early morning swim. Further north is the peninsula of Ettalong, Umina and Woy Woy. These areas areas steeped in history and have some great little shops ripe for exploring. Be sure to check out the Central Coast Tourism hot spot, Gnostic Corner at Woy Woy, for the ultimate shopping adventure.

Further north is Gosford, but if you stick to the coast you’ll find more hidden gems like Hardy’s Bay and Kilcare. Definitely worth an explore. There are some nice cliff top walks and some beautiful beaches around there too. I would keep to the coast and stop in at Avoca and would try and time my stay with the Avoca beach side markets. I have heard that they draw quite a crowd and are quickly becoming a must do for Sydney-siders coming up for the day. Next door to Avoca is Terrigal, the Bondi of the Central Coast. A place where salons and expensive restaurants mix with loud car stereos, all competing for your attention, all set right on top of beautiful beach. A good place sit and watch the world whiz by.

Further north still, you’ll pass some lovely spots to fish, some great places to surf and plenty of places to explore until you come to Long Jetty and The Entrance. Both have recently been undergoing somewhat of a transformation lately, becoming a nicer place to visit. Having been a tourist draw card for decades, The Entrance had seen better days, until recently. Much of the main road on Long Jetty getting a face lift thanks to an innovative council initiative. The road leading into The Entrance, although still very busy, now provides a nice gateway to the busy coastal town, vastly improving Central Coast Tourism. From there it’s back onto the freeway or continue along the coast to maximize your tourism experience.
